The clock is ticking

In just eleven days, my adventure begins. I've been as busy as a bee trying to get everything in order. A slightly stressed Becca-shaped bee! Just when I think I'm almost finished, something else pops up and reminds me that it needs my attention.

So far, I've settled my car's fate, spoken to my bank, and reached out to anyone who has been gracious enough to give me their time! Hats off to you, lady, at the food festival! I hope your son has a great time in Dubai. I have been blown away by people wanting to chat about what I am doing.

It is starting to become a rollercoaster emotionally, I have begun to pack! I am opting for one big suitcase to be checked, my rucksack for the cabin and my laptop bag as personal. This year JET has been amazing with the allowance!

It's strange to think I won't be around much longer. I've been enjoying my favorite snacks and going on trips. I would advise taking some time off before you fly just to have some stress-free time and relax. See the people you will miss the most.

I have been researching my new city! Yes, city did I mention I got my Saga placement? I am so blessed! I have been placed in Saga City and I have an amazing predecessor. I had so many questions brewing in the wait time. Both my Prefectural advisor and predecessor have helped answer my questions and ease some of my worries.

I am writing a list of what I need for my new apartment and will dedicate a few blog entries to it! I should be able to bombard you all with pictures soon! I may do another entry on packing in general what I am taking how I am packing it etc.

I have also had a tinker with Squarespace and set up email alerts for anyone wanting updates on when these go live. I aim to be more daily once I settle. I will bore you with weather details! What I eat and see and cool things I find. I have been informed there is a cute Tanuki who roams my neighborhood! I will be on the look out!
